Summary

Congratulations! You are now an expert on the generation and use of clean energy. You have learned how to determine how much electricity you are using. Were you surprised by the number of devices you have that require electricity? You also know that:

  • Hydroelectric, wind, and sunlight can each be used to generate electricity without causing pollution.

  • Batteries can store the extra electricity that is produced (for example, when it is very windy or sunny), so that the energy is available at times of low production.

  • We can, if we wish, provide electricity for our homes even without being connected to power lines.

There are two more exercises to complete before you have finished the unit: a quiz and an evaluation form.

  1. Click on the quiz link (below) to test yourself and see how much you have learned. (Hint: if you do get a question wrong, you can answer it again for partial credit.)

  2. After you complete the quiz, fill out the feedback form for this unit. Once this is submitted, you're finished!
